Bouvier Pharmacy Inc.
Bouvier Pharmacy Inc. is a fourth generation business that was established in 1900 by Joseph Alfred Bouvier. The pharmacy continues to be operated by his grandsons, Philippe and Thomas Bouvier, both graduates of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences, with over sixty-two years of experience between them. David Bouvier, great-grandson of the founder, manages the medical equipment department of the pharmacy and Roberta Bouvier is in charge of billing. Keeping with the family tradition, Joseph’s great-granddaughter, Meredith Bouvier, is currently a student at her father’s alma mater.
The Bouvier’s reputation has always been one of caring, personal service to the community. As lifelong residents of Marlborough, they are very community-oriented, actively supporting local youth sports programs, the Evening of Giving and many other local causes through sponsorships and donations.
In addition to operating the pharmacy component of the business, they are qualified to fit customers for orthopedic supplies and compression stockings. The pharmacy carries a full line of home medical equipment for sale and rent. In addition it offers the “Medicine on Time” program to assist care givers in
delivering the proper prescription dosage to patients. It also provides oxygen and CPAP machines. Bouvier Pharmacy holds various vaccine clinics throughout the year and offers free delivery service to customers both at home and in facilities in the area.
The Bouvier’s philosophy is:
“We do more than just dispense medications. We take the time to answer any questions our customers may have about them to enable those customers to stay better informed about their health. We have a dedicated staff that provides the service that is our signature and is the reason for the loyalty of our customers, some of whom have been coming to us for four generations. This is the key to our success.”
