Committees, Councils & Task Forces

Are you willing to invest a small amount of time for big results? The Chamber's success is due to the involvement of our members. Each new year, reorganization of our committees is key to bringing excitement and enthusiasm to the variety of initiatives the Chamber is tackling. Chamber committees provide and opportunity for you to expand your business contacts.

Ambassadors - Membership retention and new member activities. Ambassadors

Governmental Affairs - Bring forth and educate membership on legislation that affects business. Continue to develop relationships with elected officials to provide the membership access to them.

Heritage Festival Committee - Downtown Street Festival is held annually on the first weekend of October.

Marketing/Communications - Marketing pieces and Public Relations for the Chamber.

Professional Development Training Program - Plan schedule of seminars and workshops for the Chamber and the regional partnership.

School/Business Committee - School and Business Partnerships, intern and extern programs, Education Showcase, School to Career Partnerships and student scholarships.

Strategic Planning - Develop long-term strategic plan for the Chamber and the annual business plan development.

Special Events - Annual Awards Dinner, Golf Outing (PGO), Annual Steak & Lobster Cookout in July, and Biz 2 Biz Showcase.

Tax Rate Review Task Force - Annual research and lobbying for a fair and equitable tax rate for business.

Women's Business Council - Networking with many businesswomen in the region.

Business Connections - Networking with many other Chamber members.
